9. Does Ayurveda have treatment for poisoning ?

Agadatantra ( toxicology), one of the eight branches of Ayurveda, is a well developed science. The charaka samhita describes treatments for the poisonous bites of snakes, scorpions, rats, spiders and so on and also lists 21 types of vegetable poisions.

10. What is difference between Arista and Ashav?

Ans. Arista is prepared with herbal decoction in hot water and Ashav is prepared with Cold infusion of herbs.

12. I am a diabetic patient, please suggest some remedy for my ailment.

Ans. There are a number of herbal medicines as Momordicha charantia, Gymnema sylvestrae, Eugenia jambolana, & Shilajit etc .used in Ayurveda, for the treatment of this disease, however Madhumehari Granules which contains these all used in combination to obtain synergistic effect .You take 1 tea spoonful twice daily with water before meal

13. Do I have to be a vegetarian to follow an Ayurvedic lifestyle?

Ayurveda recommends foods that are ideal for your body and mind. What you eat should / will depend on which food serves you health and energy needs best? And, what can you digest? Your Ayurvedic practitioner will guide you with detail in this area.

14. How is Ayurveda related to Yoga?

Ayurveda and Yoga are sister sciences and work harmoniously together to deliver sound body, pure mind and free spirit. In India, there is a long standing tradition of practicing both Yoga and Ayurveda together, for maximum enhanced and positive results.

15. What are the benefits of yoga?

Ans. Yoga strengthens and tones muscle, improves balance and flexibility and increases blood flow and vitality. It's also a great way to reduce stress. Researchers at Harvard Medical School found yoga lowers chemicals in the blood stream associated with anxiety and triggers other physiological relaxation responses, such as reducing muscle tension and lowering heart rate.

16. How often do I need to practice yoga ?

Ans. Practicing two to three times a week for 45 minutes to an hour is good goal to work towards. Another alternative is to practice 15 minutes every day. The more you practice, then you feel more benefit.
